Interview with Carlo Vistoli, 2022 Early Music Day Ambassador

On Monday 21 March 2022, the 10th Early Music Day will celebrate a heritage that spans from the Middle Ages to the XIXth century, and the vitality of its community today. The Italian countertenor Carlo Vistoli will be the ambassador of this edition. Balancing regular roles in opera productions with concert performances, he is praised for his vocal technique that mixes the Italian ideal of Bel Canto with the striking agility of the baroque counter tenor.

KonzertPlus: Solveigs Lied – Corinna Harfouch und Griegs Peer Gynt

Unter dem Namen »KonzertPlus« konzipiert und produziert die NDR Radiophilharmonie ein neues Videoformat. Stets in Verbindung mit klassischer Musik entsteht hier eine unkonventionelle Kunstform.

Dabei werden die Kompositionen in erweiterte Kontexte gestellt, verbinden sich mit Filmbildern, Texten, Schauspiel, Interviews und mehr – eben das Plus zum Konzert.

Schauspielerin Corinna Harfouch schlüpft in dieser neuen Videoproduktion in die Rolle der Solveig. Als liebende Frau blickt sie auf den zerrütteten Charakter des vermeintlichen Helden Peer Gynt. Ihre melancholisch-sinnlichen Betrachtungen sind eingebettet in die musikalischen Sätze der Peer-Gynt-Suiten von Edvard Grieg unter Leitung von Hossein Pishkar.
