… studied musicology, German literature and French in Cologne and Paris. He completed his doctorate in 2014, at the Technical University in Dortmund, on the conductor and composer Oskar Fried. He is currently a research associate at the Institute for Music and Musicology at the TU Dortmund and leads a research project, “Music Against Antisemitism,” about the use of music at memorial events. In 2025, he opened an exhibition about Shostakovich’s life and work that was shown as numerous concert venues.
